40th Wedding Anniversary

As the years seem to fly by it has been 40 years. Dennis & I were married October 17, 1969. Time 8PM at the United Brethern Church in Kunkle Ohio. Reverend Rodenbeck married us. He also was a teacher Dennis had in school. When we asked him to marry us he said of course and he said he knew the two of us would marry. We had a very simple wedding my sister Diana and brother-inlaw John was the ones to stand up for us. The 5 of us only in attendance and was very intimate and special evening for us. First weekend in October we had planned a 3 day weekend with friends to a big carshow in Owensville Ohio so that was part of our anniversary trip. Ann & Mike very dear friends of ours and neighbors took us out for supper on our anniversary the 17th. Very nice evening. 40 years wow time flies. For us a lot of memories and more to come I am sure!!!

Deer eating Apples

As I was up for the morning drinking my usual orange juice at the breakfast table looking out the patio door and to my suprise just as calm as they could be was the three deer eating the fallen apples and pears off our trees in back near the garden. Of course I had to take pictures. Oh the country life nothing better!!

Labor Day Weekend

We went to the Auburn Indiana Kruse Auction yesterday. Wow was we a tad disappointed. There is many cars to be at auction on Internet advertised to have over 5000. When we went through entrance gate to get there usually hundreds of cars lined up to be in the auction. There was not many at all. Fewer vendors. Don't get me wrong there was vendors & cars but a lot less. Sounds like the owner what we heard is in deep financial trouble not good for Kruse International in Auburn. We were told only 1500 was being auctioned off that the cars in corral was doing better than auction barn. We usually go two days but we are only going one. Just a disappointment. We had enjoyed our day that we went to.

Family Get Together 8-22

It had been several years since we had planned a family get together and Dennis & I felt we need to keep this family together. Dennis brother Dewey had just passed away and he loved get togethers he rarely missed one. So in his honor we made up pictures of him with family and friends. He was here in spirit. It was wonderful seeing the family that could make it and we missed the ones that had other plans or live to far away to make it. Maybe the next time !!

Time For Good Memories

Friday Evening August 7th we lost Dennis(Butch's) brother Dewey to a lengthy illness. We have lots of memories of him. Dennis (Butch) & I would try to get to see him a lot of Fridays to his home or even Saturday evenings. Sometimes we would just sit and visit or watch a movie or we would go out for supper if he was up to it. We are going to miss those visits, once in awhile beer, and laughs we use to get from him as he always had a story to tell. This picture above is the last sibling weekend we had we all went to sister Sharon's for 4th July weekend 2006. We have all gotten together after but this picture was a good one we have of him and we enjoyed that weekend so much. Dewey will be missed a great deal. He was a brother in-law to me but I felt he treated me like a sister. Dewey will be missed a great deal. Love ya bro!!! Was the last words I said to him. Dennis & I always will. He will be missed.

Busy summer

Been awhile since I have posted. We went to Good Guys in Columbus I am sure over 6000 cars were there. We did not by no means seen all of them in one day that we went. We had a great time. Smaller car shows in area and cruise in's have kept us busy. I hope I can post some pictures soon as we have not got them out of camera yet. With economy we still do not know how secure dennis job is. Not looking good for so many people.

Great 4th July Weekend

Was a really busy long holiday weekend. Dennis had off from Wednesday till Monday off. We were busy everyday. Thursday we worked a full day around here. Friday we had friends Nancy and Tom over for lunch which we never get to see them often enough. Saturday We went to 4th July Fly In Breakfast and seen planes coming and going at the Bryan airport. Left there went to Marshall Michigan met with friends at the car show. Ate supper on the way home. Got up Sunday and was invited to Dennis nephew Dan and wife Tena's for cookout. Had a great time. Below is a couple pics we took of Dan & Tena. We had a wonderful visit and promise to keep better in touch. End to a very nice weekend. Hope everyones was good too!!

Hilltop Class of 1969 40th Reunion

We had a great time with our fellow 69er's. We took a tour of the school. Took pictures, went to Bryan had a wonderful supper at Rita's Resturant.After supper went to Classsmate Bonnie and husband Mike's for social time. Time flew by so fast it was pretty late before we realized what time it happened to get. Have another in 5 years hopefully all stay healthy.

Some of the classmates took a tour of the West Unity School before they plan on demolishing it as they are building a new school. Rest will meet us at the resturant.

After supper we took pictures across the street from Rita's Resturant. Would like to have done it at Gazebo but the Jubilee was going on and no way possible.

My Niece Joni & Jace In Ohio To Visit Family

It was so good seeing all the girls again. 5 month old Jace is such a good baby even when he was tired he just wanted to be put in his stroller to relax. He was handled a lot today to and I am sure he misses his Daddy who is in the service and he had to stay in Missouri. They leave Thursday from Grandma Cherie's in Indiana to go back home. Be awhile before we seem them again. But all our loves their for them only at a distant.
