Special thanks for all the troops and families that make our lives safe. As we to in our family have 2 special guys in the service helping keep us safe. THANKS!! Also for the ones that have been in the service or the loved ones that have passed your in our thoughts. If it was not for you we would not feel this safe. Thank you ALL!!


With the 4th of July weekend approaching and getting busy to have family here and functions going on I wanted to put this on the blog. Everyone have a safe and Happy 4th of July!!

Sold Our 1975 Pontiac Trans Am to Nephew Aaron

Aaron came to our house with Sue & Larry to pick up the Trans Am Tuesday. He bought the car and now he has told us his plans for the car we are so happy he wanted it and going to make us happy he did. He promised to send us many pictures of progress of the reworking the car. Someday the car will be in California but for now it will stay in Indiana getting things done. It was good seeing Aaron again though always to short of a visit.

Brother Dewey Home

Dewey got home Monday afternoon. Went to visit him after he got home. Seemed in good spirits and glad to be out of hospital and home. Thank you for all your calls, thoughts & prayers. We apreciate the visits that you gave him also. He enjoys visitors.

Dennis brother Dewey had an exciting birthday. June 18th Dewey turned 68 and also went to the hospital on his Birthday. He was told he had congestive heart. We have been visiting him. Spirits are good he is still in ICU. Still trying to drain the fluid. Sister Sharon came down from Ionia to visit him. The three of us was there keeping him company. Got him laughing. Sure he enjoyed his visit. Not sure the nurses were enjoying us with our laughing. They did not say anything to discourage it but did shut his door to contain the sound to his room. Keep him in your prayers and thoughts.

Went to Hamilton Lake to Friends Place Saturday

We went to Deb & Bill's Saturday afternoon and met their friends and seen their family We had a great time and a wonderful ride on their pontoon. Great supper too!! Thanks for having us !!

My Flowers are Blooming Pretty They Are!!!

Just hope the flowers are blooming great when family come on the 4th of July because I know they love flowers too!!!






As you all know I love my flowers and they are starting to bloom. I have went to all perennial so they will flourish each year they are in the ground. I have already transplanted some to different areas next spring definitely have to think about making another flower spot in yard.

Happy Father's Day !!!!

Even though we only have our furry cats as our kids we still count Dennis as being a Dad!! We loft around in the morning and in afternoon did some things outside I finished staining my picnic table he fixed my hoe for gardening and puttered in pole barn. Really don't know what he was doing. LOL!! I know he is getting things around for when Aaron comes to pick up the Trans Am in another week and a half. Fixed lunch and decided to watch a movie. This evening getting together with some friends for supper.Hope all the Dad's out there had a good day also. Happy Father's Day !!!

We Spent Weekend in Michigan 6/6-8

We had been told by sister Sharon that Ionia has a good car show so we went up to see. It was a good car show. We also went to Holland & Saugatuck to on Friday. Then Saturday to car show.

My New Curtains

I had to back order since April some of the curtains and it took till yesterday to finish getting all curtains complete. I love them. I got them from JC Penny. I wanted something light and airy and these work wonderful. I can keep them open and get lots a light or closed they still bring in some light as darker heavy drapes do not. I am very happy my work in living room is finished now I can just enjoy it.
