Sharon's Birthday Friday Blue Chip Casino

Thursday evening sister Sharon came we got up Friday and headed for Blue Chip Casino. Was Sharon's Birthday. She is quite the gambler She likes the slots. Now I am sure not to many people can say they can go to casino and not gamble at all but Dennis and I can and proud of it. We went for Sharon and she had free night and free meals so that was good. We let her gamble and we hit hot tub and listen to a band there. We met up with her and we went out for supper. She left to hit slots and we hot tub again and had a couple drinks before bed. As I wake up often in night no Sharon. We got up got around went to casino floor Sharon had spent the night gambling. We were going for breakfast and she did not want to leave slots. We ate breakfast and went back to her no Sharon so we went to room and she was there getting ready to leave to come home. As today was my birthday was glad she was getting ready. It was a different weekend. As Dennis and I know we could never be gamblers and seeing how people just let their money just go just sickened me. Unreal how bad economy is and so many people there. Sharon knows how we feel and she is glad we are not hooked. But it was a good time what we had with her. Happy Birthday to Sharon!!

Not much to write about this week. Dennis was sick Wednesday night so I called into his work and had him stay home. I think it was the best thing he did. He feels better but still has some of a cough. Planning on him just resting this weekend and hopefully before he has to go back to work Sunday night he will be much better. Just crossing my fingers I don't get it. Dennis coffee maker took a leak this week so Friday evening we went and bought him a new one, Bunn of course. Cannot complain the coffee makers we have makes a lot of coffee. This week planning on a trip with his sister Sharon to Michigan City over the weekend. Celebrating her and my birthdays. Should be fun!! A bit unusual for me as I usually am fixing all the trimmings of a Thanksgiving dinner. It will be different for us that is for sure. That will be my next entry how our weekend was. To our families and friends Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Our Weekend

Been a good weekend. Dennis sister Sharon from Ionia came Friday afternoon for a short visit and was nice seeing her again. Friday we visited awhile and when it was time for supper we went to pick up Dewey and Buffy and we all five went to Mad Anthony's Taproom in Auburn. We went back to brother Dewey's for a visit. Saturday Sharon and I got around and was hungry for Chili as it was cold and just felt like a day for chili so the two of us went to Wendy's. Then we went to see Aunt Lola. To say the least when we told her we went for chili she said why did you not pick me up I would have liked that!! Hmmm I guess we never thought of that bummer. We had a good visit with Aunt Lola. Then it was time to see if Butch was ready to join in being with us girls so we went home. Yep he was ready. Visited more then we thought go see Dewey again and see if he want to go to supper with us. We visited awhile there and he was not wanting to get out in the weather so we went for supper. Sharon had to get home to give her kitty his insilin shot and hated to see her leave but she went home. It was great having her here and enjoyed the time we had with her.

I had been outside and Mike & Ann's dog Cricket was following me home and when I got back in to house these pictures I just had to take. No barking or hissing they were both good pets checking one another out. Think Abby feels pretty safe between the glass.
